Re: [rest-discuss] PhD ideas?

Hi,

I am a Software Engineer based in India, and contributor to the RESTClient project ( http://rest-client.googlecode.com/ ). I was also thinking in the same lines--of doing PhD in this area. I was introduced to another amazing concept, NetKernel:

http://www.1060research.com/netkernel/

This has given me some fodder in identifying my research area (although I have not yet finalized)--REST microkernel architecture.

Hope this helps.

Subhash.

Hi everyone,

services has caught my attention and REST in particular.

The reason I am writing to you all is that I am struggling to find
that "angle" in my PhD. I would love to help in the propogation of REST
but am at a loss as to how my research can help.
My superviser suggested either a) developing the concept further or b)
solving issues with regard to REST and QoS e.g. reliability, security
and transactions.
My understanding with regard to b) is that REST uses https for security
and Post Once Only for reliability. The area of reliability is
attractive but I am open to ideas...

Thanks and regards,
Sean.
