WORLD WATER DAY SEMINAR, NEW PACIFIC HOTEL, KOTA
BHARU, KELANTAN, MALAYSIA
MARCH 20 - 21, 2005
- Invitation for participation and paper presentation
=======================================================


The Organizing Committee of the Malaysian World Water
Day 2005 is glad to announce to, and invite, you to
the World Day Water Seminar 2005 which will be held on
March 20 - 21, 2005 at New Pacific Hotel, Kota Bharu,
Kelantan, Malaysia. Participation and papers for
presentation are now open fo registration.

The theme of the decade is "Water for Life."


Objectives
==========

The seminar aims at providing a forum for a healthy
and exciting exchange of ideas and experience in areas
related to the issue. The sub-issues discussed include
latest technological results, research findings,
state-of-art information between relevant stakeholders
in the field. Its main objective is to promote is to:

- promote, advance and integrate the science; and

- practice of water engineering and management in the
context of water and development.

The seminar aims to attract papers on various aspects
of the issue particularly

- planning and policy;
- research and development;
- capacity building; and
- communicAtion and education.


Participation
=============

Participation is open to engineers, researchers, and
public concerned with water-related disciplines and
the public.

The fee is as follows:

MANCID member: RM 350
Non Member: RM 380

This conference fee is non-refundable and does not
include accommodation. However, replacement is
allowed.

The fee will be waived for paper presenters.


Papers
======

Papers will be presented on above subtopics by
relevant authorities from government and private
agencies including non-governmental organizations.
Those interested to present should

i) send an abstract of the paper to the Secretariat by
Feb 4 2005.

The abstract should not exceed 200 words;

ii) send a full copy of his/her paper in Microsoft
Word format to the secretariat by February 18 2004.
Excluding diagrams, tables, references and
bibliographies, the paper should not
exceed 10,000 words.
