RMIUG'ers,
It was announced at the last meeting (and in the minutes) that I'm
stepping down from the RMIUG Executive Committee. It's been a fun
8 years watching the whole Dot.Com and Dot.Bomb "thing" go on.
I'm stepping down for two reasons - their names are Dirk & Kyle;
they are my 4 and 1 year old boys ... or monsters sometimes! ;-)
After spending time with family, I just find I don't have time to
properly devote to RMIUG. I'll still be lurking on the Email lists
and chiming in from time to time.
I wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season and the best in 2003,
alek
P.S. Another thing that has consumed a "bit" of my time is putting
up my annual Xmas lights - I sent around the URL last year where you
could SEE it on the web ... there are 22,000 this year - check it out at:
http://www.komar.org/xmas/
Since I've been using X10 to control these (more details above),
I've been thinking it might be interesting to CONTROL 'em via the web.
You won't find this URL linked to from the "main" Xmas page above,
since I'm still testing it, but I'd be curious to get some feedback
on how it looks/works from RMIUG'ers - check it out at:
