As many of you know, the Rocky Mountain Internet Users
Group (RMIUG) was founded just over 10 years ago. As
things change, every organization grows and evolves to
stay current with the times.
Lately, the RMIUG Committee has been looking into how
RMIUG stacks up against other organizations in the area
like the Colorado Internet Scientific Society (CIS-SY)
and Boulder Unix Testers and Hardware Dataswitchers
(BUTHD).
As part of this effort to stay more competitive, we have
decided to outsource most of our RMIUG activities to India.
We've also looked into how large companies stay on the
cutting edge. What we've discovered is that maniacal cost
cutting is the most important initiative one can undertake,
regardless of the impact it may have on one's organization,
customers, employees, community or nation.
Therefore, effective immediately, all RMIUG email list
management and web server administration will be handled by
our subsidiary, RMIUG-Bangalore (Regional Ministry of Indian
Unipolar Growth, Bangalore). In addition, meetings will now
be hosted by RMIUG-Chennai at the Tidel Park Office Complex
just outside the city of Chennai, India.
Instead of pizza and soda, we will now be offering veggie
samosas and chai for meeting refreshments. The April
meeting will feature a panel discussion on, "The Pros and
Cons of Outsourcing: How to Keep More Jobs in the US."
Please send all questions to our newest Committee member,
A. Purill Feuhls, who will be handling the transition and
can be reached at rmiug-comm@....

The RMIUG Committee
