Happy Holidays + Internationalizing the Internet: Thoughts on speak   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #91 of 167 |
Hi RMIUG Community,

In case you dont recognize the email address, its
Josh Zapin, the organizer of our bi-monthly RMIUG
meetings.

I hope you are enjoying the holidays.

I would like to pick your brain on a future topic:
Internationalizing the Internet. Specifically, Id
discuss the recent resistance by many countries to
continue the US monopolization of the Internet. Some
recent meetings of the UN-sponsored World Summit on
the Information Society concluded to continue to allow
it, albeit reluctantly.

(It is also ironic that human rights abusers like
Saudi Arabia were supporting the US monopolization
while free European countries were not.)

Does anyone thoughts on good speakers on the topic?
Would you be able to speak about it.

I think this will make a really engaging
meeting/discussion.

I look forward to hearing from you about it.

Sincerely,

JZ

Joshua D. Zapin
