Hey all,
Despite any rumors to the contrary, we're still alive and kicking.
Well, alive anyway, and wishing we'd cracked the formula for giving up
sleep! RoboMontreal has been in a fairly comatose state since the
last robot race at Waterloo, mostly as a matter of time... or rather,
lack of it. There's lots going on around Montreal, though - here's a
quick rundown:
Hacker Space Montreal - They're holding regular meetings and looking
for a space right now. http://www.foulab.org/ This is really
exciting, as it'll provide a space for montreal technophiles to meet
and build!
Geek Montreal - www.geekmontreal.com - These guys are doing a great
job of tracking the geeky happenings around Montreal, with a packed
calendar and active forums.
CNRG 2008 - coming up at the end of the month (Nov 22/23).
Robot Race 2009 Announced: Ammar and the Waterloo crew are hosting
again, this time at the end of May. Their webpage is under
construction, but keep an eye on it, as things are rumored to be
getting much more interesting this year, with a figure-8 course and
traffic signals!
Happy building!
