Hi!

So as the headline says... I'm new!

I nead some help to answer some of my questions!

What I plan to do is a semi-autonomous robot! What I want to do is put in memory sequences that when triggered will move servos ( like Futaba )  in a specific order, speed and degrees!

I studied electronics in the early 1990 so I have a solid base and a good general idea of what I'm getting myself into! I'm not one of those guys who thinks it's going to be easy like buying a toy robot at Circuit City, Radio Shack or Toys "R" Us!

My problem is... technology! In 1990, 36 pins printers were... hot! So I'm out of sink!

Here are my questions:
1. Is Turbo C+ or C++ the best computer language for this type of application?
2. What is on the marquet for controlers? Do they have a RS232 or they use USB ports? (Parallel?)
3. Do you guys meet some time to talk geek/robotic?;)

More questions will come with the answers you provide!

Thanks again!

Fred ( Terrebonne )
