Hi all, just thought I’d introduce myself.
My name is Alex and I’ve been working with electronics and robotics for a few years now. I have a massive interest in the field and am constantly tinkering and building new robots in my workshop in Underwood, Brisbane. Over time I’ve built up quite a large collection of creations and other robots I’ve picked up around the place which I have enjoyed hacking to work to my own purposes.
I have recently taken an interest in competition robotics such as sumo matches and maze solving. I had the notion to start up an annual robotics event where people can compete, learn and admire each other’s work, but it sounds like that sort of thing is already going on around Brisbane, so I’d love to get involved and make some new friends who are like-minded.
I’m sure I’ll have lots of questions to ask of everyone, but anyone else with questions or how-to requests, feel free to contact me and I’ll try my best to help you out! I have a great set of resources for finding parts and solving functionality problems in robotics, so I’d be glad to dive in and become an active part of this community!
Talk soon, guys!
Regards,
Alex Norton
