I really wonder what kind of two-bit fellow would be doing this. I mean... okay, set aside the fact that spammers are generally ethics- and courtesy-challenged people to begin with. What kind of low-end spammer goes and spams a Yahoo mailing list? I would think that the maintenance level of keeping accounts on it (when it's gotten to a point that I've started figuring out which addresses are likely spammers and killing them on sight even before I see them send anything on occasion) just to send to a few hundred people who probably aren't exactly a target-rich customer base to begin with would be high enough that it wouldn't be worth it. And it's not like anyone on this list is liable to buy fraudulent college degrees, schlong enlargements, or bootleg medications anyway.
And, uh... if that last part's not accurate, let me know and I can remove the customer base from the list along with the spammers themselves... :P
