Note that some very good people are combing over this with a fine tooth comb and
there is a meeting tomorrow with the FAA and a few of the rocketry
representatives to discuss this.
However so far it looks like a mixed bag of good/not-so good things. Nothing as
bad as it could have been. Areas I have heard discussed so far that may be
problems:
a> flights over "O" look like they are going to require significant
documentation.
b> There is something in the text about documentation requirements for all
launch equipment. No details on how to report or what is required but I hope
this only means once per year on your waiver application.
c> Looks to be quite a few good things for what used to be called Large Model
Rockets (definition seems to be gone now).
I'll leave it at that since I'm sure it will take a few days for people who know
far more about this than I to sort through it.
