Please PLEASE help me. AHHH!!!!!!   Topic List   < Prev Topic  |  Next Topic >

Okay guys. I took the plunge and got the studio pack. I am having all
kinds of problems, ones that I can't figure out. I am pretty good
with computers, but this baffles me.

I am running a PIII 800Mhz running WinME with 256MB RAM, 8G and 40G
IDE hard drives, the Roland RPC-1, a 10/100 ethernet card, NVidia
TNT2 AGP graphics card, and a TI 1394 IEEE FireWire card. All worked
fine hardware-wise before putting the Roland RPC-1 in, and that seems
to be (knock on wood) fine with the drivers installed.

I watched the 'Quick Start' video and followed the instructions for
getting the drivers installed, and installing Logic RPC. (Funny
thing, they don't tell you that Logic RPC will not run on Win2000!) I
started with a fresh install of WinME for this.

So - when I fire up Logic RPC, I get a dialog that says:

ASIO:
No Driver Selected
(-10201)

So, I click the 'Continue' button on this dialog. The program seems
to come up, but then hangs doing it's 'CD check', and that's as far
as I get!!!

I also tried to get it running with Cakewalk's Sonar, and no luck.
Cakewalk recognizes the Roland RPC drivers as being present, but
nothing happens. When I try to power the VM3100 on with either
setting activated at the mixer (Logic or Cakewalk) I get the RMDB-2
checking message at the mixer, then it changes to RMDB-2 Locked!

What does that mean?? I can't find anything tellin me in the docs. I
hope someone has encountered this and knows how to handle it. I
emailed Emagic to get some help, but have not heard back yet.

Help - please!!! MANY thanks in advance.

Jeff- I had the same exact problem. The fix for me: I had to disable any/all audio drivers with the exception of the rpc- 1 card. That was the fix for me. ...
