All,
Don't forget that Wayne Kubick plans to join us tomorrow (Tuesday) for our first RTP CDISC User Network forum of 2008, 3-5 pm at GSK's Ruvane Auditorium.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Wayne lives somewhere between Chicago and the North Pole. The area may get hit by a snowstorm tomorrow which could possibly affect his travel plans. Wayne is very eager to be with us; he's getting his dog sled ready in case he needs to use it. HOWEVER, if he cannot get out, we won't meet tomorrow. Wayne will know what the situation is very early in the morning (7 a.m.) and will keep me informed. I'll notify everyone on this group list if it turns out we won't meet, although I fully expect that Wayne will be here on time as planned. If you would like me to send you a personal update, e-mail me at randall.r.austin@... with a message such as "RTP CDISC please notify me".
See you all tomorrow!

The first RTP CDISC User Network forum is next Tuesday 26FEB08, 3-5 p.m. at GSK's Ruvane Auditorium (the same place we met last November; directions below).
We are pleased to have Wayne Kubick, "father" of SDTM (although he may demand a paternity test!) and key player in CDISC/FDA/Industry interactions, present "Perspectives on the FDA Janus project, the HL7 CDISC message and the Future of SDTM." Is FDA's JANUS an application, a data warehouse or just a concept? How does it dictate the structure and content of data submissions? Will the HL7 CDISC message complement SDTM or replace it? Wayne is uniquely qualified to give us a candid and entertaining perspective on SDTM's role vis a vis JANUS and HL7, where all this is headed and what it means for us.
Driving Directions From Raleigh Durham Airport to RUVANE building at GSK
(Ruvane building is located on the Moore Drive South Campus. We have reserved the Ruvane Auditorium which is directly off of the lobby.)
