Ruby on Rails / PHP Consultant, NYC

Location: New York City (on-site)

My client seeks a qualified Ruby on Rails / PHP software developer for
web based projects utilizing content management systems, databases and
web applications on the Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP (LAMP) platform.

The ideal candidate must possess the following:
* 3 years of experience in the web development field with significant
emphasis on PHP and or Ruby programming
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment with other developers
* Motivated self starter who will take the initiative and identify
problems and dependencies within code
* Detail oriented with significant emphasis on the quality of their work
* Have strong analytical as well as written and verbal communications
skills
* JavaScript, DHTML, XHTML, HTML, XML

Familiarity with the following methodologies and technologies is a plus:
* Drupal Content Management System
* CSS, RSS, AJAX
* Struts, Rails, MVC or other frameworks
* MVC (Model View Control) and design patterns

The position requires 3 years programming in the following technologies:
* Ruby programming language on the Rails framework
* PHP programming with PHP4 and PHP5
* MySQL database administration, design and knowledge of SQL language
* Apache web server configuration and administration
* Linux, Unix and Windows 2003 Server
