Boutique Shop Seeks Ruby On Rails Developer   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #48 of 55 |
We are a small boutique consulting shop specializing in
Internet/Social networking applications. Quality of life and work
environment are as important as the work we put out. Our employees
and contractors feel excited, engaged, and supported. We are
interested in those that have a sense of both hard work and play. The
bulk of our work is done in a handful of the finer coffee shops in
Williamsburg and Greenpoint.

Our portfolio includes several custom CMS, ecommerce systems, andâ€"more
recentlyâ€"some Facebook applications.

More recently, we’ve added one of the larger, more ubiquitous
entertainment brands to our client list. For them we’re developing a
cutting edge social network platform, and, well, need more hands on
the project.

We are looking for Jr. Programmer/Mid-level programmers with a diverse
set of skills. Accountability and follow-through are valued over sheer
experience.

For the right candidate this is an exciting opportunity to grow with a
creative and burgeoning boutique shop. To start we are looking for a
full-time/part-time contractual arrangement. We intend to grow this
to a full-time staff position with benefits.

Please respond with a resume, and short cover letter giving a glimpse
of your personality. Include any links to existing work you've
completed in the past.

Requirements:
*3-5 Years experience programming. (Or recent college grad with
tech-degree).
*Ruby On Rails
*rspec
*little bit of .NET (it's okay if your shudder at this mention).
*HTML/CSS
*Javascript (Mootools, Prototype, Scriptaculous, etc.).
*Capistrano

Basically, if you don’t have direct experience with any of the
technologies, you should be able to dig in after just a few days of
ramp-up.

We look forward to hearing from you!
