As you are probably aware we use S-Base for the development of commercial
products used by customers all around the world. I will be the first to admit
that the later versions of S-Base are not the most stable environment in the
world to work in but they do offer the level features that we need for real
world applications.

You really need to consider ditching 2.4i and take the plunge! I suggest you
contact Simon to get access to a recent version and I will be happy to supply
you with some code to set format element parameters eg rectangle colours. Be
aware that these versions of S-Base offer a great deal more power to the
programmer and with that the ability to do a lot more damage. ;-)
