Nick,
I asked the guys at work just exactly what is TiVo... They answered the
question fairly easily. The discussion then moved to; Is it J2ME? Whose TCP
proxy is the traffic going through? Can two TiVo's speak to each other? Can
we speak to TiVo? Can TiVo speak to us?
So I can imagine it will be a good discussion. Hope your ready for lots of
techy questions.
See you in a week.

Subject: [SacJUG Discussion] TiVo Home Media Engine
I just found
The TiVo HME
HME is the code name for TiVo’s powerful new open platform for
applications that are displayed and controlled by
broadband-connected TiVo Series2 DVRs. HME applications are written
using the Java programming language and can run on home PC’s or
remote servers hosted by TiVo. At this time, HME applications can
not control any of the TiVo DVR’s scheduling, recording, or video
playback capabilities.

I know I said I would do a eclipse plug-in. But this is to cool, and
could have some work benefit for me.
Can I present a Hello World HME application next meeting? (If I get one
working by then of course)
R,
Nick
