I want to learn Spring and Hibernate, and I'm looking for suggestions on
learning materials to use. I'm thinking mainly of books, but I'm also open to
on-line tutorials or course materials that are free or reasonably priced.

My background, in brief: about 40 years of experience as a programmer; about 15
years with OOP and 9 years with Java; off-and-on experience with database
oriented applications, including JDBC; off-and-on experience with server side
applications in Java and PHP.
