I normally take my photos on a digital SLR - which cost over 3 times the price of this little beauty, but I like to carry a camera around with me whenever possible (on a walking or bike trip) so lugging a huge SLR with all of its lenses isn't really feasible. OK so this Lumix isn't as versatile as an SLR - there are no out-and-out manual settings on it, but it does allow you to have some forms of override and its compactness, small weight and quality of lens make up for this.

The quality of the pictures I have taken on it so far - whether at 25mm or 300mm have been quite stunning. The full range of the zoom (12x) has been used to take photos of flora and fauna. If you WANT to you can even get it to zoom in further (up to 21.4 times - that's the equivalent of over 500mm lens - though the quality does suffer).

What a little stunner!! I am thrilled with this gorgeous camera, and still coming to grips with some of the finer points of the manual modes, but to be honest, I've got some really great shots using the Auto mode!!! The zoom is excellent, almost no quality loss on a real close-up, and the macro is very good, true and faithful. I love the idea of the viewfinder, though the lcd screen is so bright, I haven't had much cause to rely on it, whatever the conditions. Considerable battery savings by switching off the monitor. The only problem I've had is finding a suitable case...one with pockets for additional battery and memory card. I use an 8gb card, and the battery life is fantastic, so just a small niggle.

The first reviewer is very crtical of the picture quality for this product, however at ~£100 you get what you pay for. The amount of mpixels is not the only important factor- the size of the lens is a consideration, and this can clearly be seen from picture as not very large.

We wanted a camara for our 10 year old for 'snaps'. This fits the bill very well. The camera is turned on and off by sliding the cover on the front which is easy to do. (A down side when reviewing photo's as the lens is then exposed). There are multiple scene modes including manual, and a good table in the instruction leaflet which gives an overview of what is available in each setting. There is also a video function- quite simple in operation, not high quality output, but good enough to transfer to an MP3 player with video faclities to show short clips to friends.

For an experienced digital camera owner the menus and buttons are pretty well laid out and easy to use. May be not if you have large fingers or stiffness in the fingers but that will apply to many digital cameras.

The camera took grainy photo's in low light levels which were much improved by turning on the flash. It does not handle well images with high contrast-the high light areas are completley over exposed and burned out. In review mode the setting ISO, aparture and speed are displayed, and too slow a shutter speed explains some less than sharp pictures with time and experimentation it will most likely be possible to work out which scene modes work best.

To summarise my opinion of the camera: it's the perfect DSLR for a beginner. That's not just because this is priced at 'entry' level, it's because Nikon have developed this camera with the novice in mind. So often people buy SLRs and never move on from the automatic Program mode. This camera teaches you how to take control of the camera.

Switch the camera dial to "Guide" and three options appear on the 3" LCD screen. "Shoot", "View/Delete" and "Set up". The shoot guide includes three options - "Easy Operation", "Advanced Operation" and "Timers and Remote Control". Choosing one of the options then takes you to a further set of options with choices where the camera not only guides you through making the right settings but it also explains why. For example, in advanced operation you can choose to "Soften Backgrounds". The guide tells you about the Aperture-priority mode and then visually demonstrates what happens when you change the F number with a guidance note telling you to "Choose lower f-numbers to blur the background".

Reporting to the Global Business Systems Manager - Supply Chain,
 
the Sr. Systems Analyst will participate in a cross-functional, team environment as a senior member of the Deliver Team responsible for support of Warehouse Management
applications using SAP ECC 6.0, BW, SAP SCM Extended Warehouse Management and other systems.
 
This position is part of the Enterprise IT organization as a core team member of the SAP implementation initiative, Contract to Cash Deliver team.  
 
This individual supports Global Design, Realization, Implementation and Support of Warehouse Management and other Logistics Execution applications using SAP ECC 6.0
 
Warehouse Management, Inventory management, Sales and Distribution and SAP Supply Chain Management Extended Warehouse management.
 
The Analyst will partner with users and implementation partners to plan, conduct, and direct analysis of business problems to be solved within an SAP environment,
 
and work with technical programmers to translate business requirements into technical design specifications. The individual must maintain system integrity by following
proper testing and documentation procedures using tools-based testing and transport systems. This includes unit, integration, and regression testing of SAP ECC, SCM EWM
and BW configuration changes.  The position requires knowledge of all aspects of Logistics Execution.
 
This role will provide support to the global super users and business process teams, with major emphasis on SAP R/3 Logistics Execution  and Warehouse Management Systems
and Inventory Management. Additionally, the position will require working knowledge of various other Shipping and Transportatin functions and Logistics modules such as
IMG configuration , Logistics IDoc Interfaces to external Warehouse Management Systems, Integration with Warehouse Control Systems, Transportation Optimizer,
Freight Forwarder EDI, and Advanced Shipping Notifications. This position requires resolving technical problems with all Logistics issues as well as managing the integration
points with other SAP related modules. Act as a single contact point for problem management.
 
The Sr. Analyst will use approved  Implementation methodology to ensure all Design aspects are resolved by the assigned completion date, provide appropriate documentation
to meet support requirements and coordinate development requests, acting as a single interface to SAP Developers.  This person will provide project management leadership and
act as lead in managing relationships with internal/external customers, guide Business Process Teams and Distribution Operations team  in a consulting role and serve  as their
single point of contact to the IT organization.
 
Supporting enhancements and upgrade projects, the Sr. Analyst will work with end users in gathering detailed requirements, analyzing business processes, design, configuration,
documentation and testing, using CLIENT's Global Execution Framework methodology.  Additionally, they will provide implementation support for new sites including gap analysis,
design, configuration, data cleansing, data loads, integration testing, and training, instruction to the global Logistics community and assist in the alignment of business
activities with the global process design.  
 
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, computer science or information systems preferred.
A minimum of 5 years experience in design and configuration in the SAP Warehouse Management functionality and 3 years using SAP ECC 6.0
Experience in SAP Supply Chain management Extended Warehouse Management ( EWM ) module is preferred
Demonstrated Project Management skills
Experience in Integration with Warehouse control Systems preferred
Experience with EDI is a plus
Experience with SAP BW (Business Warehouse) is a plus
Functional experience in the Supply Chain Operations  is preferred
Two full cycles of an SAP implementation and production support preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills with all levels of management, end-users and peers.
Strong organizational skills required
Strong team spirit and ability to work with large cross functional teams is desired
SAP Certification preferred
Knowledge of system design lifecycle methodology, project planning and Six Sigma methodology are preferred
Exposure to Computer systems validation and compliance experience with Internal and External systems is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership capability
Highly skilled in teaching new applications and

SAP HR Consultant

The SAP HR Consultant is responsible for successful delivery of HR technology/process deliverables, particularly in the SAP HR module.
This role assists clients in the selection, planning, fit analysis, configuration, testing, rollout, and post-implementation support of large-scale SAP HR solutions.
The consultant will also be involved in improving operational metrics, business case development and performance measurement.
He/she will provide functional knowledge, manage client relationships within context of individual role. The consultant provides hands-on configuration and execution of the deployment of the SAP HR module throughout all project phases. Must be able to work with other consultants, subcontractors global resources, and client employees.
Configured SAP HR
SAP HR application knowledge and a strong understanding of the integration points. Understand functional requirements and divisional differences.
Prepare functional specifications for interfaces, SAP enhancements and reports.
 
Requirements:
BS Degree Computer Science or similar
At least 5 years experience in SAP HR module
At least completed 3 full life cycle implementation projects.
