American children are becoming desensitized to violence, and the media is capitalizing on hate, murder, violence and profanity.
That's what County Juvenile Court Probation Supervisor Scott Mabery said during a seminar called "Understanding School Violence."Mabery presented the effects of violence on children in their music, films, television and video games to about 25 parents and educators during the Verde Family Network Center meeting Sept. 11 at Yavapai College Verde Valley Campus.
It seems that the level of violence in American society has become commonplace, acceptable like bad language, he said.
