Tam,
Thanks for that. I hope this means that it's working perfectly for
you.
I have gotten further with my chipset. I now get the same thing you
have (with a different name). But, I had to hardcode an IRQ other than
the one the card or Resource Manager wanted. It still doesn't produce
any sound, so, I don't know if it is correct, or if the code for my
chipset isn't right for OS/2. It's probably a bit of both :)
Could you have a look at something for me. When I look in Hardware
Manager, there are two entries for sound. One is titles "NeoMagic
256ZX" and has the allocated resources. The other is titled "OS/2
Universal Audio" and has no resources. Both point to UNIAUD32.SYS.
There's probably a logical reason for them both to be there, but, I was
expecting only the first one. Do you see something similar?
And while I think of it, what mixer are you using? When I first got
the driver to load, I tried to play a sound. Of course, nothing came
out, so, I had to check the volume. I had this thought "What if it's
working perfectly, but the volume is at zero, and I can't adjust it".
I don't really think that's it, but, I want to check what mixer can be
used.
Thanks for any help,
