I will certainly look into it for you. I had thought about large flags a while back, obviously other people are doing them bigger than my ones, but I will see what I can knock up for those wanting larger flag sets.

Would it be possible to have the flags in different sizes?
I have the flags in 60x20 for my eyesight.
Probably a pain to setup, but just a thought!
Dave
I have had some interesting results: last night I downloaded all the
new civil flags to a text file in Notebook. I then copied all except
Qantas and Cathay into countries.dat where I already had the UK/US
military and UK/Ire civil flags. On restarting SBS-1 I lost all the
flags except the default country flags.
Today I removed all the new flags from countries.dat and then copied
them back block by block, stopping and starting SBS-1 as appropriate.
I checked after each addition and it was OK, I not only added back
all the files I had deleted from Countries.dat but added Qantas and
Cathay as well. All still running OK.
I am running version 1.1.1.125 with, of course, firmware 301.

Hi
You wont here from Kinetic as its working perfectly for most
This confirms to me that my theory in the mail headed COMMENT
is correct
you have blank lines below the last entry line
which must be deleted
ANDY
try checking it
open your countries.dat file
hit the carrage return key twice to add 2 blank lines
close and save changes
restart basestaion
put moey you will get nothing in your flags column
reverse this process of blank lines and it will work again
cheers

Hi
i have had a small problem here also
i have all latest software running 1.1.1.125
now i use NOTEPAD++ as my text editor
i restarted after adding a few lines and got the not allocated
all down flags column
the problem was not gaps in list in countries.dat file
it was that 2 extra lines had been added on the very bottom
no idea why
i found this by luck as NOTEPAD++ numbers each line
and there was 6 extra numbers with no entry on line
in short you must !!! close and resave with the cursor
on the end of the last line to the right of the last .bmp
if there are lines below this they must be deleted
as for old flags no change with flags added
can those with this please tell us if its XP or VISTA
if its VISTA i have the answer
cheers for now
Keith D.
Hi Andy
I tried deleting all the original lines in the dat file, just leaving
the new added section and there are no flags on show at all! Reverted
back to the combined file and will leave well alone until an answer
is received from Kinetic.
Thanks for your help

Thanks for letting us know, this means that its def the new update 1.1.1.125 thats causing the problem......Is anyone still running 1.1.1.124 like myself. It seems to be functioning fine with that for some strange reason. I cant see why they would have had to mess about with this part of the update as it was fine 24 hours prior to the 1.1.1.125
If anyone has the 1.1.1.124 still on their pc it might be worth installing that over the 1.1.1.125 and seeing if it corrects the problems.
I will stick the 1.1.1.124 setup file in the files section in a mo incase anyone wants to revert back.
In the mean time I will get intouch with kinetics and see what the score is :)
I have exactly the same problem! It worked fine until I installed the latest upgrade. I have also tried substituting the old copy of contries.dat but then I had no flags of any decription and the words "not allocated" in the callsign column. I started all over again with the basic countires.dat file of the new version. It produced the old national flags OK, so the programme is working. I then added all of Andy's flags which I wanted only to find that we still only get the old national flags being displayed as before. there are no gaps in the data, or rogue lines, I will now try erasing all the lines in the countries dat file up to the point where the new additions start and see what happens.

mmmmm I cant think why you arent getting any flags showing....are you using any other flag sets other than the basic sets and the ones I have produced ?
But saying that for none of them to show it sounds all rather weird...any chance you could copy and paste your countries.dat text into and email and sent it direct to me at andy@...
I will have a butchers and see if anythings a miss.....
Are you running the new SNOOPY 4 or 5 released in the last couple of days. This allows alot more codes to be added without it hitting the max for the countries.dat.
Are you getting any flags, some or nothing apart from the basic sets ?
