Description

The purpose of this group is to encourage engaging debate and fresh ideas on L. Schupmann's medial and brachymedial telescope designs, historical record, construction, and astronomical uses.

Questions regarding the fabrication and testing of Schupmann optics as well as the mechanics of the telescope itself are welcome, but for more general inquires on the optical and mechanical fabrication of telescopes please see www.atmsite.org, the ATM mailing list (see http://www.atmsite.org/contrib/

Above right : Minor Planet 5779 has now been named after Ludwig Schupmann!

Have you seen the lunar photo of the day it has a map made by Phillip Fauth (1867-1941) and an image made by Wes Higgins both are great and as stated Fauth was

If it is anything like a set that my friend purchased from this guy, cancel the order. They are junk. The objective is maybe 1/4" thick at best, the field

Philip had his listing on ebay again this week holding up the same chipped 6" singlet. He has sold a few of these sets, maybe he saved the chipped one for last

Dave, The Stellafane 13" is scaled from the "standard" 10" f/10 Super Schupmann, which is outlined in detail in Jim Daley's book. This is another nice feature
