This group is to be an adjunct to the Usenet Newsgroup sci.bio.microbiology. No spammers will be tolerated, and flamers will be banned. The group was created in order to bypass the annoying and sometimes idiotic postings in Usenet groups by internet trolls.

All new members must be approved by the moderator and then will be put on moderated posting for a time. Please give the moderator a day to approve messages. You will be taken off of moderated postings at the point I feel it is okay for you to post without moderation.

Any legitimate subject relating to microbiology is open for discussion here, and discussions of research-related topics are welcome. The moderator retains the right to edit or delete messages if they fall outside the guidelines of the group.
