SCIP [Sussex Community Internet Project] is a not for profit organisation based in Brighton, UK. We provide a range of IT-related services, training and other support to the local voluntary and community sector.
The SCIP email discussion list was set up in 1998 as a forum for local people, and others, to share news and ideas, ask and answer questions and keep in touch with what's going on in the community.
It is mainly focused on exploring the ways in which the Internet and computers can benefit local communities and aid community development, covering technical, social and economic issues.
It also covers a range of other topics which have become an established part of the list's culture, from events listings to offers of free tickets for the Brighton Dome.
If you have any questions about its use please contact Mark Walker or Peter Mason at SCIP.
