I'm curious about how the "agile developer" remark came about.
The agile organizations I have worked in (and run) have had some of the
best SCM practices of all the organizations I've worked for and with. I
find it hard to imagine being agile without at least excellent source
control of all work products. I would challenge anyone claiming to be
agile who argues that some of the work products should not be under
source control.
