Yeah, I'll back off on that one and clarify what I meant to say. I
agree that true agile development is a great thing. I love the new
generation of tools and how automated and streamlined SCM is with them!
That said, what I meant by "agile developers" (in quotes) are the
occasional rogue developers who use the term agile and twist it's
meaning to go back to bad practices, like not documenting, or testing
before checking in, or generally hacking around the process. I even
had one last year who compiled her own code with some crazy third party
plug-ins and then delivered it directly to the customer, all in the
name of critical bug fix that couldn't wait. When it crashed their
system, and it came to me and eventually her, she couldn't even
reproduce it on her own box. It kills me because I always go to great
lengths to have a quickturn process. Argh.
