Hello
Thank you mr Haoda Fu.
I received the split screen today. Securely packaged in a US postal
service padded envelope. Just a few days after ordering. having read
a lot of opinions on the web. I was curious as to the installation
process. Fearing damage to my 10d I proceeded immediately, with
cotton gloves and plastic pincers. The procedure went just fine.
My first photo test did not meet my expectations! What went wrong?
Opening the camera body I observed i had not inserted the screen and
the metal bracket right. Another try succeeded. My test photos are
sharp as never before. i do really wonder what this autofocus system
really are worth? this is the beginning of a new era of photography
for me and my Tokina 28-80 AT-X pro lens proves its real optical
value.
Thanks to you mr Haoda Fu

I've received my screen around 10 days after my order. The package is
nice and the screen is perfect fit in the camera.
The screen did help me a lot in focusing, and that's the same as the
one I used before in a Contax film SLR camera.
Just a little comment about - if the delivery is faster, it will be
better as this screen just make me can't wait longer. Fabulous screen!

I would love to use the diagonal one in my 350D instead of the
horizontal one I now have.

I purchased one of your Diagonal Split Image Focusing Screen for my
Canon 20D after corresponding with you. It took 3 days to get to me
and the instructions you pointed me to were well writen.
It was easy enough to instal, but I did have a few problems. My shim
seem to be warped so the screen did not fit properly in the shim. I
did finally get it all together in about 30 minutes. I tore the foam
mirror cusion in the process, but you gave me the numbers to Canon
where I was able to order a replacement part for $6.14. Canon USA NJ
(732)521-7007 CA (949) 753-4200 Not too bad of a ding. The product
works very well and the focus is right on the money.
All in all I am happy with the diagonal, but if I had to do it over I
think I would have gone with the horizontal screen simply because it
would have eliminated the shim and made the project easier. Make sure
you have all your tools laied out and the PRINTED instructions at your
side.
I don't know how you are able to respond so quickly to all the
questions I asked, but you were there and very patient with me. For
that reason alone I would recommend youe screen. Your support is
unrivaled.

Hi,
Yesterday I received Haoda 5D-L screen for my Canon 5D. I have to
say I LOVE IT!! I'm extremely pleased with this product. I'm a long
time user of split-image screens in my 35mm cameras and missed it
very much when I switched to digital several years ago. My main
interest in the split-image screen is to aide me in manual focusing.
I just can't get a 'perfect' focus with the regular focusing screen,
this will really help me. This split image screen is great, you can
see the focus adjusting and locking. Press the *, watch it move
slightly... etc.
I would recommend this screen to anyone thinking of using manual
focusing, or who has a problem with front or rear focus problems
this screen will help you ensure that the focal point is sharp.
Thanks Haoda !!
I just found that, Haoda has an online store selling this screen at

Dear All,
We just released the 2nd generation diagonal
screen for 350D, 400D, 20D and 30D.
The new diagonal screens for 350D 20D cost $10 more.
The diagonal screen puts the split image diagonally.
If there are only horizontal lines in your viewfinder,
you have to put your camera vertically to use ordinary
split image. But you are not necessary to do so, if
you are using the diagonal split image focusing screen.
F&A:
Q1. If I have the old diagonal screen for 20D,
do I need to upgrade it.
A. I donot think so, since the current screens are using the
same high quality material as the 1st generation screens.
The only different is the design. Therefore, I do not
recommend to upgrade.
Q2. If I am using the ordinary 350D screen. Does it worth to
upgrade.
A. Absolutely yes. It worth the $$ to enjoy the fun. BTW: we
have an upgrading plan to old customers as before. If you are
an old customer, you only need to spend $60(shipped) to upgrade
your screens.(The original price is $82 + shipping and handling
fee.)
If you have more questions, please contact Haoda at haodafu@...
Best,
Haoda
Yes, We have screens for 400D and 30D.

I was finally able to do some good tests with my new focusing screen
and let me tell you it is all that and a bag of chips :)
Installation was a breeze, but in the future I will be wrapping a bit
of cotton tightly around my tweezers, to avoid any scratches. I also
had to remove my copper shim that lays under my factory focusing
screen. With that shim in I was not getting proper focus, after
removing the shim and doing a few more test shots, I was able to
verify that I had dead on focus.
I do a lot of nature macro work and this requires very critical focus,
I also use a lot of older manual focus lenses, they give me much
better quality glass at prices I can afford. This screen has made it
possible for me to use my manual lenses in places I could not before.
My viewfinder is brighter now as well, another HUGE plus when I am
shooting live concert events.
A good example of critical focusing would be a shot I was able to get
a couple of days ago. I was using a bellows setup with a 75mm enlarger
lens, the depth of field when using this equipment is very short, the
difference between in focus and blurry is measured in millimeters.
I posted three images in the photos section, in the folder labeled
Macro. I honestly do not believe I would have been able to properly
focus on the tiny ladybug without my new focusing screen.
I would highly recommend this screen to any of my fellow photographers.

Hello Haoda,
I recently bought a Canon EOS focus screen from you.
However, I recently bought a Minolta 7D camera.
Is it possible to exchange the screen? If so, is there a difference in
cost?
By the way, I really like the screen, it works very well.
Thanks,
Rhoel
The D-200 does not have any Pre Set modes like many other Digital SLR`s. Sometimes they come in mighty handy. I was a Nikon guy, but went i to Canon.
I have the 20D, and i`m getting an EOS , MK 2, n.
Just thought i`d and 2 cents. Ken Franklin Campbell <franklin@...> wrote:

hi there
it does indeed make the view finder brighter,i prefer
to manually focus anyway rather than rely on auto as i
do quite a bit of macro photography and i always use a
light meter, so i like everything under my control as
opposed to trusting the camera to make its own
judgement
go for a d70 if you can still find one,i did use canon
all the time but since i went nikon i have no regrets
at all.

Has anyone done the change on a Nikon D50?
If so, how is it done?
Is there a link with pictures that I can view (or be emailed to me:
james@...)?
I want to be sure I can do it BEFORE I purchase it. It's not enough
for an idiot like me to be told it's "easy"! :)
Thanks

i purchased a focusing screen for my d70 and i have to say it improves
my photos 100% now i can see via the split screen how in focus the
subject is.a great item at a great price.
Got it, thank!
Installation takes about 3-4 minutes, all nice and bright now.
Didnt have to do any exposure compensation (b/c i am normally shooting
with old Zuiko lenses, and they require a tic of underexposure, so its
great bonus :)).
Middle line of split is slightly above the AF spots line. Guess this
is why AF keeps working just fine.
Only real problem is that at 4.5, 5.6+, on some angles - upper half
is getting completely darkened out (guess this is light fall-off thing)
And i really like this split to be diagonal :) and may be circle a tad
bigger.. E500 viewfinder, even with ME-1 eye magnifier isnt very big :(
I bought one from you already, and i got use to it. Thanks!
