agile as well as those interested in learning more about the
technical pillar of Agile called XP. We also talk about agile
values, self-organizing teams, project vision, scaling agile,
visual management, the famous XP game.

Dear colleagues,

Plannow Technologies is conducting an ongoing agile usage survey. Some of you
may have responded already. We have received about 90 + responses so far.

We are aiming at 500-600 responses so that we can generate meaning full
statistics.

The results we have so far demonstrate for example a close correlation between
the answers that Business Analysts and Project Managers provide. There is
significant deviation between their answers and that of developers.

An interesting aspect of this is that most of the responses we have thus far
come from professionals that live in different geographical regions. When you
group responses by regions, you also tend to see certain trends.

Of course it is impossible to generalize based on just 90 something responses,
but the statistician in me gets exited looking at the correlations and
deviations.

I would like to ask you to take a few moments (10 minutes) to complete the
survey http://www.plannowtech.com/zsurveyquest.html.

I also encourage you to send in questions that we may integrate in future
surveys. There is no financial gain for Plannow Technologies. This research is
purely being conducted to provide us all with moderate insights in the use and
adoption of agility worldwide.

Thanks!

Just wanted to let you know, we have put on a substantial sale for
public Certified ScrumMaster training for the summer. We have a
public CSM scheduled in Waterloo from July 15 to 17, and one in
Markham July 22 to 24. There are more on our website. The special
price is $995 (+GST) per person for the three day training for any of
our public CSM classes in Canada. That is 50% off our regular price! We are
offering this price for the first 100 people who register and pay. Since we
just introduced this there has already been good uptake with people registering,
so I don't expect the price to be available long. Could you please pass this
along to your colleagues that might be interested in coming to the training?

Dear friends plz help me out to figure out the research plan for my
doctoral dissertation, i am giving some basic details and need your
contribution to give it final shape. plz help me in figureing out the
final research plan..
IN AGILE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
Research Plan:

Research to answer following questions:
Q1: What are the factors that influence organisations to adopt agile
methods?
Q2: What are the sources and types of evidence that practitioners use
in order to decide whether or not to adopt agile methods?
Q3:What are the evidences behind claming effects and benefits of ASD?
Q4:Without proper documentation is knowledge is transferable,
understandable and manageable.
Q5:ASD is an effective means of knowledge dissemination and knowledge
retention that has a positive influence on the Knowledge Management
practices of a company or organization.
Q6:The impact of agile practices on communication in software
development or overall software development

To answer this question we divide the study in three phases
1. Literature study
2. Systematic review
3. Case study or Survey

As agile software development has many techniques. We focus on Pair
programming (XP). Or sir we can initially focus on all techniques and
later on pair programming.

Literature Reviewed: Review of max. possible literature on Knowledge
management in software development and giving emphesis on KM in Agile
software development.

Systematic Review:
I will try to answer Q1,Q2,Q3 in systemetic review. To systematize all
evidence on effects and benefits of ASD from the previous empirical
studies ,
We can summarise and analyse some of the previous works. In this study
we can analyse the factors such as
time to market
improved quality or productivity
cost/benefits etc

On the basis of these factors we will analyse the previous studies and
finally their implications.

Surveys or Case studies (Empirical investigation)
By empirical investigation, we can try to answer rest of the
questions
plz help me in figure out my phd research plan....

To Whom It May Concern,

Because of the significance of the work, and because of demand, I
decided to publish the results of my research with VDM Publishing
LLC. The web site is www.vdm-publishing,com. The book is
entitled: "Customer Satisfaction and Agile Methods", and the ISBN
number is 978-3-639-09476-3.

The research surveyed 185 projects, and the results proved to be
quite controversial, provocative, and unexpected. You will not look
at agile methods the same way after you have read my book. You will
not believe all of the hype that has been written about the use and
results of agile methods. The next time that you read something on
agile methods, you will think of my research. You will come away from
my book with a greater understanding of what agile methods are all
about, and what they can and do achieve, but more importantly, what
they cannot and do not achieve.

If you are interested in agile methods, but are unsure whether they
are the right software development methods to employ, then my book is
for you. In my book, you will find hard data on the characteristics
of projects, participants, and whether agile methods are the only
software development to use to satisfy your customers.

I invite you to contact VDM Publishing LLC regarding my book
entitled "Customer Satisfaction and Agile Methods", and find out for
yourself the real value of employing agile software development
methods rather than plan-driven software development methods.

I am leading an exclusive search for an Agile Coach who both
understands and wants to introduce Agile into the PM function.

Agile Coach - Service Planning Office:
http://www.redcanary.ca/view/project-manager26

Part Scrum Master, part Agile enthusiast and part team coach, you'll
deliver service planning projects as the lead of a newly-formed team.
Your challenge will be to manage using an Agile approach – introducing
its ideas and best practices – while leveraging traditional PM skills.

You'll be applying those ideas in a world class environment for one of
Canada's largest and most successful companies.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the crossroads of project
management, Agile methodology, and enterprise-scale technology.

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Donald Buresh, and I am a Ph.D. student at Northcentral
University located in Prescott Valley, Arizona. The reason that I am
writing to you is because I would like you to participate in an
internet survey for my dissertation. The topic of my dissertation is
assessing agile project management and customer satisfaction. The web
site where you can find my survey is: www.assessingagilepm.com.

The questionnaire will ask you about a software development project
that was recently completed within your organization. It will take
you about 15 minutes to answer the questions. The questionnaire will
ask you a series of questions about the project, including whether
the software product was developed using agile-driven or plan-driven
methods. If you do not know the answer, the questionnaire will ask
you a series of three questions, and based on your responses, it is
smart enough to decide what software methodology was employed. The
questionnaire will then ask you other questions about the software
development project. If at any time you decide not to participate in
the survey, you need only exit the survey window, and your data will
not be collected. When you have completed the survey, please press
the appropriate button to submit your responses, and then close the
survey window.

All of your responses will be anonymous and all of your data will be
held in the strictest confidence. From your responses, it will not be
possible to identify you or your organization. Since the data
obtained from this questionnaire will be used in my doctoral
dissertation, the results may possibly appear in an academic or trade
publication. None of your responses will ever be revealed.

Thank you for considering to participate in this survey. If you do
participate in the survey, and want to obtain a copy of my
dissertation, please do not hesitate to respond to this email, and
let me know. When the degree has been granted, and the dissertation
has been accepted and published, I will be more than happy to send
you an electronic copy. Again, thank you for your time.
