As a prelude to our upcoming meeting this Friday here are two
articles that came out this week on our topic of Personalized
Medicine.

These are just two instances, but the potential to tailor treatments
to an individuals genetic makeup is just getting started.
Join us to here Elaine Weidenhammer, PhD of Nanogen,
(
http://www.nanogen.com/) explore this topic.
Programing notes:
The main talk & Q&A runs from 7PM to 9PM at the Barnes & Noble of
Mira Mesa (10775 Westview Parkway, San Diego, CA 92126) -- big area
toward front of store. After this we'll walk near by to a large
patio for spontaneous small-group conversations (& caloric intake
options) immediately after.
Parking Tip: You'll find it easiest to park in the other shopping
center across the street from Barnes & Noble (because it doesn't
have a movie theater!), by the Rubio's & Jamba or down toward the
Home Depot.
I hope to see you there :)
