Dear Colleagues,

I am advertising one postdoctoral position dealing with the
characterization of the 'structural behavior of porous MOF as a function
of pressure, temperature and different guests' at the Dept. of
Structural Chemistry and Inorganic Stereochemistry of the 'Universitą
degli Studi di Milano'. The position is for 2 years (possibly renewable
for 2 other years) and should be available from November 2009.

I would be grateful if you could pass the information on to interested
colleagues.

Angelo

· 1 postdoctoral research assistant

· Structural behavior of porous MOF as a function of pressure,
temperature and different guests

· Dept. of Structural Chemistry and Inorganic Stereochemistry,
Milano, Italy

· (2 years, possibly renewable for 2 other years)

· Applications are invited for one Postdoctoral Research
Assistant to work with Professor Angelo Sironi on the structural
characterisation of novel porous metalorganic frameworks. The 2-year
(possibly renewable for other 2 years) position is funded by the
University of Milan.

· The main project aim is to study, by high pressure XRPD, the
structural modifications of porous Metal Organic Frameworks induced by
sorption of small molecules (H_2 O, CO_2 , CH_4 , C_2 H_2 , H_2 , CO, Xe
...) at different temperatures and pressures. The successful candidate
will be expected to play a major role in advancing the structural
analysis of in-situ characterization of novel storage materials using
high resolution X-ray powder diffraction techniques.

· Applicants should have a doctorate, or have submitted their
PhD thesis, in inorganic chemistry, crystallography or a related
subject. Experience in the analysis of X-ray powder diffraction data is
desirable. For more information, contact Angelo Sironi.

· Application, consisting /inter alia/ of a short proposal
developing the themes highlighted in the project aims, must be sent to
the University of Milan before the 16 of July following the instructions
described in the "bando di concorso" (the research project of my concern
is that at position No. 22) which is retrievable at
http://www.unimi.it/ricerca/assegni_ricerca/37564.htm,.

· Applicants must register at
http://surplus-unimi.cilea.it/ga/registrazione/esterno/form/index.htm.

· Interviews of selected candidates will likely be on the end of
September 2009.
