This competition is open to all undergraduates regardless of major. It is an interdisciplinary team-based paper competition in which students are to develop a design for a space transportation system based on requirements set forth in a Request for Proposal (RFP). The type of system is defined by the RFP and can be anything from an orbital space tourism system to a Lunar or Martian transportation system. Participating students will research and analyze systems and subsystems such as propulsion and life support to be included in the proposal. Most of the work is independent and meetings are extremely flexible. The RFP can be downloaded in the "Files" section under Misc.
