This group is for owners and fans of the sound cards from SeaSound (a.k.a. Sea Sound), including the SeaSound Solo, SeaSound Soloist and SeaSound Solo Expander.

SeaSound was created by Tom Oberheim of Oberheim synthesizer fame. But unfortunately, the company went out of business in the middle of 2001, less than 2 years after their first cards hit the shelves.

Now that the company is out of business it is more important than ever to keep this community connected so that we can see new driver development move forward, and keep our own technical support network going.

The primary focus right now, led primarily by Tom Surace, aka tekhedd, over at ByteHeaven, is to get the best durned WDM-compatible driver so that people can use their SeaSound cards in WinMe, 2000 and XP.

Sadly for the Mac faithful out there, there will likely never be an OS X driver, though there is support for Mac OS 9.1.1.
