Customizing StampPlot for commercial purposes   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #472 of 601 |
Hi Martin..
I develop custom embedded controls at work and have played around with
StampPlot enough to know that it's good enough for commercial
applications. We've recently developed a universal motor control for a
customer, and I showed them how StampPlot could be used to view and
record motor RPM and AMPS, for example. As a result, they're
interested in having StampPlot as part of their product offering.
Ideally, the StampPlot they would provide (to their customers) would
be customized, showing their company name, and be permanently set up
for their application. Neither their company, or ours, has the
capability of doing this (I'm strictly a assembly language programmer
for 8/16bit micro-controllers). Is this a service you have provided
for other companies in the past? Or, is there someone you can
recommend who could do this?

Needless to say, this should not be considered a trivial assignment
(even though the programming might be). Doing custom technical work at
the direction of a non-technically aware customer can be
interesting... to say the least. But if it's possible to make a few
simple changes to make it look like it's their product, it could be
worth it.
Thank you for your consideration.
Doug.

Hi Doug, I'd rather handle this off the forum. Your macro could be defined as the "startup.spm" and included in an installer. Can you summarize the other...
