Actually, it's not a product - it's open source / free . Check out the website I referenced earlier. It's released under BSD license - so go ahead download and check it out if you like. Not sure if it's the same as AMQ.

I've been able to dig up absolutely no additional info on AMQ. I've heard via a contact at JPMorgan that Davies was chastised for letting the cat out of the bag.
Note that this is referred to as an open source project -- not a standard. (and since there is no site, it's obviously not an "open" open source project -- this type of project is often referred to as a gated community.)
There are a number of open source JMS implementations, so that's nothing new. One point that's different about this project is that it's supposed to support multiple language bindings -- in particular C.
