The South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association was founded in 1965, with as its principal motivation to provide information and create an opportunity to participate. Ever since, its members have been bringing the universe closer to all South Floridians. From the innocent wonder of the children to the amazement of the adults, every night is another great adventure.

ASTRONOMY AT THE BUEHLER OBSERVATORY
In 2001, the Buehler observatory opened its doors for the public and the students at the Broward Community College in Davie, Florida. The college has housed a planetarium for many years now, but a convenient, fully equipped observatory has always been a dream. A beautiful building which houses over 20 telescopes is now only about 100 ft away from the planetarium, perfectly located for planetarium visitors to also enjoy the wonders of the real sky.

Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches
We are a group of individuals dedicated to the pursuit of observational astronomy and to the education of the public on astronomy and related issues. Our monthly meetings include informative presentations given on a variety of topics related to astronomy. We conduct monthly observing sessions in both dark sky and urban locations. The knowledge and experience of our members covers the complete range from novice to scientist. While some of are just getting started in astronomy, others have been deeply involved in it all of their lives. We have no age restrictions, and our members come from all walks of life. Everyone is welcome to participate.
