I've seen what some might call "shadow people". Yet what I seen were 2-3 foot
tall humanoid beings with dark cloaks covering them from head to toe. It was
dark in my room and these things came from out of the darker parts of my room as
they paralyzed me and left in a similar way... "Shadow people"? No... If I
called them that I would just be giving a new name to something that has already
been given many names already... "greys" with black cloaks on covering their
true appearance is more likely.... With their dark appearance in the dark
wearing black cloaks... and the ability to seemingly disappear at will... the
"greys" definitely seem like a "shadow being" or ghost, the spirit called
"death", etc.

When having an Out of Body Experience you can become paralyzed and even see
figures and things that you create with your own mind. So not every instance of
seeing a dark figure after becoming paralyzed while in bed would mean it was
'greys'...
