Welcome to the Sharing Place, a cyber-community founded by the late Elizabeth Gips (1922-2001). It is an open discussion forum for ideas and discoveries about spiritual experience, states of consciousness, and community-building. Related topics, from medical marijuana to art appreciation, and growing friendships, often weave through the interactions here. It is open to all. The Sharing Place is presently hosted by Judith Gips, Elizabeth's niece, and Elizabeth's longtime friend and web master, Chip Clofine, both of the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Elizabeth described The (Cyber) Sharing Place as follows: "This is a place to share our wisdom, our ideas, cooperation and co-existence, the humor or beauty we see in existence. We can share our pain and our poetry, but we will not welcome a flame or words sent in unconscious hostility. If you feel anger with anyone on this list, please contact them privately. Sometimes our best teachers are the ones who push our nut buttons hardest, so PLEASE first examine your own motivations and internal scenarios before you write even to private e-mail. The original Sharing Places were two community centers I once ran where everything (food, lessons, massage etc.) was totally free. This cyber-Sharing-Place is also free."
