If I understand correctly there is aging grey, English blue, modified black
that results in grey, and Kauni or water grey (nearly white fleece with
black head and legs with grey muzzle).

I think what we have here is modified black - but would welcome opinions. I
have a lamb with light grey fleece at two months old but with black head and
legs. Her parents are dark grey at two years old.
