My name is Richard Bennion from Broadchoice, Inc. www.broadchoice.com

I was not able to attend last night's meeting, but I will be there next
time for sure!

Our company has been developing applications with
Allaire/Macromedia/Adobe Coldfusion for 8 years now.

We also work with Flash a bunch.

Flex + CF is, for us, the holy grail!

We are already working on porting over interfaces to our CF apps with
Flex.

If anyone out there is a AS2.0/3.0 guru and is up to speed from Flex, I
would love to hear from you.

I am glad you had a great first meeting and will see you all soon.

There is free visitor parking at the Adobe building, for those who want to know. And the walk from the CalTrain station is about 5 minutes, according to Sean.

Sorry I'll miss this (have to be in the SF office tomorrow). I've
gotten a bit behind on the group emails - was there a decision on the
location alternating between SJ and SF? Will we also get more notice
about location in future (so I can plan to be in the appropriate
office that day).

Really looking forward to learning more about Flex at these meetings!

One thing to be careful of when selecting a location is that half of the people voted for a San Francisco location and people in San Francisco are less likely to have cars, so wherever the meeting is, it needs to be easily accessible by public transit. I know of one person who voted for SF sold his car as soon as he moved here. :)

Since I'm the Interim Manager, I'm making the executive decision to go with the location that garnered the most votes.  Sure there were multiple votes, etc, but it had the highest count.  Hopefully, we can still meet there.

The more I think about it, the more I think we should do the first meeting without the Flex Team.  There will be a lot of housekeeping matters we'll have to deal with in regards to the User Group.  Plus, I think more of the flex team will be back (and more refreshed) in August for our second meeting.  Maybe you could round find out by August where the team would prefer to meet: Adobe SJ or Adobe SF.
