As far as the Del.icio.us interface, if you go to del.icio.us now and
change the view as (below your tags) from list to cloud, that is what
I am refering to. having a huge vertical list of tags can be
overwhelming. The cloud view is nice, especially integrated into the
main page.
The reason I mention the change to the trending of link histories, is
simply to ease jumping to a range of dates. The reason i like to look
at people who tag in different date ranges is to find related items.
I have found that people who tag an item early on are typically
finding that link as part of a daily RSS read. Those who find it
later are often doing research, and looking more closely at the sites
that user has marked can often reveal items I missed on a topic.
I think Onfolio is foremost a web research tool. But it does make a
nice bookmark manager. I have about 1000 pages bookmarked and tagged
in Onfolio. Joe Cheng at Onfolio seems to be the integration guru
there. I would love to see Simpy able to browse to a collection in
Onfolio (on the local drive), and extract (synch) the links along with
description and keywords (tags). its a long shot, and only useable by
a small number of people...but we can all dream.
Thanks,
Sean
