Re: [simpy-user] Page title fetching does not work?

Hi,

I think that's because somebody already saved the same URL before you, and for
one reason or another it got saved without a title. In other words, a page
title for a web page/bookmark is copied from the first bookmark for that page.
At that time the real page title should get saved, so from that point on
everyone should be seeing the same title for that page (overridable by the
nickname field). It seems that for some reason the original title was not saved
when the first person bookmarked that page.

Well, that's how things work in the case a page has already been saved by
somebody else. That doesn't seem to be the case here. I was able to bookmark
the page (and it got the correct title), but I used the Firefox plugin to do
that. But I do know the Simpy This bookmarklet works, too. I'm not sure about
the pop-up version.

Otis
