Hello!
Back when I first got interested in the concept of "embedded anything"
(which is really a buzzword describing the idea of putting a whole
computer into something the size of a PDA.) I came across a site which
discussed the wonders of the embeddable Ethernet concept.
The user took an appropriate chip and its associated attachment
devices and a micro which was coded in BASIC and patterned after the
famous BASIC Stamp. and also at one time a product of the same firm
behind the SitePlayer to control a mechanical counter.
Basically every time someone saw web cam image of counter, and pinged
the dynamic DNS assigned location to the whole business the counter
would advance. And then after a few moments the web cam snap a photo
and present it.
Much later I had heard about the SitePlayer, but never got a chance to
obtain one until now. Can one of them be configured to do this?
