did you try turning on an LED per the siteplayer_sp1.doc schematic? I would set that circuit up. If it works, put a DMM on the LED and see what your voltages...

Sorry but wrong, you do not need a pull-down. The siteplayer module uses an 89C51RD2 processor. IO lines 0 thru 7 connect directly to port 1 of the processor....
