Hello,

The new version 2.54 of Cartes du Ciel / Sky Charts is available from May 30.

This is mainly a bug fix version with very little functional change.
The most important is the correction for the "Out of Resource", "Canvas do
not allow...", "Win32 error..." messages that affect some machine.

New Romanian and Hungarian translation are available, many thank to Robert
Panduru and Lorant Kiss.

New additional external catalog are available :
- Southern Stars embedded in nebulosity BHe (van den Bergh+, 1975)
I helped Raymond Bruton to type this catalog that is now available from my
download page and from the CDS.
- Catalogue of Reflection Nebulae VdB (Van den Bergh, 1966)
I added the missing equatorial coordinate to this catalog and it is now
available from my download page.

With this two catalogs both hemisphere are now covered for emission
nebulae, dark nebulae and reflection nebulae.
As an example I upload a chart of a small area in Centaurus at the border
of the Coal Sack containing object from both RCW, BHe and DCld with a DSS
background image. You can get it from

Bonjour,

La nouvelle version 2.54 de Cartes du Ciel est disponible depuis le 30 mai.

Elle concerne principalement la correction de probleme dont le message "Out
of Resource", "Canvas do not allow...", "Win32 error..." qui apparait sur
certaines machines.

De nouvelles traduction en Roumain et Hongrois sont disponibles, un grand
merci a Robert Panduru et Lorant Kiss.

Deux nouveaux catalogues additionnels sont disponibles :
- Southern Stars embedded in nebulosity BHe (van den Bergh+, 1975)
J'ai aide Raymond Bruton a saisir ce nouveau catalogue qui est maintenant
disponible sur ma page de telechargement et au CDS.
- Catalogue of Reflection Nebulae VdB (Van den Bergh, 1966)
J'ai ajoute les coordonnees equatoriales qui manquait a ce catalogue et il
est maintenant disponible sur ma page de telechargement.

Avec ces deux catalogues, les nebuleuses par reflexions, emissions et
obscures pour les deux hemispheres sont disponibles.
Comme exemple j'ai fait une carte d'une petite region du Centaure, en
bordure du Sac a Charbon qui contient des objets des catalogues RCW, BHe et
