Welcome! This is the Pittsburgh CWA SKYWARN Email List. This list is intended for trained weather spotters located within the Pittsburgh NWS County Warning Area. This area includes the following Counties:

In Pennsylvania: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties.

In Ohio: Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, Muskingum, Noble, and Tuscarawas Counties.

In West Virginia: Brooke, Hancock, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Ohio, Preston, Tucker, and Wetzel Counties.

In Maryland: Garrett County.

The sole purpose of this email list is to increase the communication between spotters in the 36 Counties (18,858 Square Miles). Topics of this list should center on weather subjects in our area such as communication methods, safety information, and training sessions.
