Hi to all, I think that when I first joined this group I stated that
my formal education was very limited. As far as math goes, this is
understated. I backed into the study of math when I started to
become interested in slide rules. I know basic arithmetic but after
that I run into trouble. I have had am fear of math ever since I can
remember. I have purchase a variet of math books and even a cd on
algebra. Now, I am kind of overwhelmed with all of the information
that is before me. It would be nice to attend a formal class but
this is not available to me I am basically homebound. I find slide
rules just fascinating . I have read many of the math questions and
answers to these questions on e-mail. Not only do I not understand
most of the answers, I don't have a clue to the questions!! I am not
proud of this, I just want to point out where I am. My 65th
birthday is this Saturday, and I was thinking that perhaps with my
never being a student if the first place, this may just be beyond my
understanding of the subject. I would appreciate any and all
comments( please be honest) and/or suggestions. Thanks a lot, Be
well and happy collecting, Ed Cramer, Evanston, IL., 60201
