Hi there. I've just joined this group so I thought I'd say hello. A few
weeks ago I saw a slide rule at a flea market and it inspired me to
find my old rule and have a play with it. It's a British Thornton
AD150, which I bought in about 1974 when I was at school. At that time
we were required to know how to use one. By the time I left school in
1979 they were virtually obsolete, so I can count myself among the very
last generation of slide rule users. I think I might start a collection
of slide rules. In fact I wish I'd bought the one that I saw on the
flea market, but when i went back there it had gone.
