Arnold,

There are three types of towers most often used for small wind turbines: 1)
stand alone steel lattice, 2) guyed steel lattice, and 3) guyed steel pole.
Numbers 2 and 3 can be tilt-up for easier maintenance. The costs are roughly as
follows.

Stand alone steel lattice tower: $40-$50 per foot
Guyed tilt-up (lattice or pole): $30-$40 per foot
Guyed (lattice or pole): $20-$30 per foot
