Hello,
As I wrote in a previous message, I would like to share wind turbine information
with the members of this list. This time I want to present some manufacturers of
small wind turbines. I apologize if some of them had yet been presented in this
mailing list. Some of the manufacturers seem to be worth having a closer look
at, others definitely not.
Here the list:
1. ENERGIEBAUM KRAUß: small VAWT (swept surface: 2 square metres), output: 5 kW
!!!! Too high to be honest.(http://www.energiebaumonline.de/indexprodukte.htm)
2. VENTIS: German manufacturer of wind turbines: 5, 100 et 600 kW. The small
turbine (5 m, 5 kW, 2 blades) is mainly designed for off-grid applications. The
company seems to be in financial difficulties when considering some messages in
their "guestbook".
3. TURBEX: "western mill" manufactured in South Africa. Designed to pump water
or to produce electricity. This multiblade wind turbine is designed for low wind
regions and intermediate technology: http://www.turbex.co.za/generator.html
4. GEIGER: German manufacturer of small wind turbines: 0.6, 1.0, 2.1, 4.2 kW.
Korbinian Geiger is mentioned a first time in the following book: Heinz Schulz,
Kleine Windkraftanlagen, Technik, Erfahrungen Messergebnisse, page 91, ökobuch
Verlag, 1993 (second edition), ISBN: 3-922964-31-1. Geiger is selling complete
wind turbine packages, but also parts for DIY builders: plans, bearings,
generators, gearboxes, blades,.. The Geiger wind turbines are regulated by a 2
vane eclipse system: www.windmesse.de/geiger
5. PHOENIX: very nice downwind turbines: 12 and 25 kW:

6. MECANIX, small wind turbine issued from a cooperation between Russia an
Switzerland. 3.6 m, 3 blades, rated power 1,5 kW.:

7. PITCH WIND AB: wind turbine, 2 pitch regulated blades, 30 kW. No gearbox!
Made in Sweden: http://www.iig.com.au/wind/bigwind/bigwind/bigwind.html
8. TRAVERE: French manufacturer. Wind turbines from 0.4 to 12.5 kW, two blade
pitch regulated turbines. Location: Nice/France:

9. CATAVENT: VAWT from Canada: http://www.erd.qc.ca/catavent.html
10.WENUS: 4 blade pitch regulated wind turbines (Inventus 6), 6 kW, 6 m wind
turbine for battery charging and grid connexion: http://www.inventusgmbh.de/
