You should use the oldest Small Linux you can find for 2mb of ram.
I rezipped smalllinux 0.5.0 for you from
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=595
I assume you are using MS Windows. You will
1. download the zip file from
http://smalllinux.superant.com/smalllinux050.zip
2. unzip the files
3. use rawrite to write
A) a root diskette
b) a boot diskette
4. place the boot diskette in the old computer and startup
5. replace the diskette with the root diskette, when the screen tells you
